About Vukašin Poleksić

Introduction

I am Vukašin Poleksić, a former professional goalkeeper from Montenegro whose career took me to Italy, Hungary, and the international stage. Over the years, I played more than 400 professional matches, appeared in both the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League, and proudly represented the Montenegro national team 38 times.

Playing in Serie A with US Lecce, competing for trophies in Hungary, and standing in goal for my country gave me unforgettable experiences and valuable lessons. Football taught me discipline, courage, and the importance of consistency at the highest level.

Today, I have transformed that knowledge into a new purpose: guiding young players. My work is no longer about saving goals but about giving children the tools, training, and mentorship to succeed—both in football and in life.

My Mission

My mission is to create pathways for young players that were not easily available when I was their age. Every child with ambition deserves the chance to train in a professional environment, learn modern methods, and feel the support of a mentor who has lived through the challenges of football.

I design programs that go far beyond technical drills. They include fitness preparation, video analysis, and one-to-one guidance, ensuring that players improve in every area of their game. But above all, my mission is to help them build the values that football represents—respect, teamwork, and determination.

By giving each player personal attention, I want them to understand that their journey matters. For me, success is not measured only in matches won, but in the growth of each individual.

My Vision

My vision is to connect local talent with global opportunities. I want to open doors for young players to experience international camps, work with elite coaches, and see what professional football truly demands. Exposure to different cultures and standards helps them dream bigger and push themselves further.

I believe the future of football lies in raising players who are complete athletes and responsible people. That means preparing them technically and physically while also shaping their mindset and character. My vision is to create a bridge between where they are today and the professional environments they may reach tomorrow.

Through this, I hope to inspire a generation of players who combine ambition with humility, talent with discipline, and passion with respect.

My Career as a Player

My football journey began in Montenegro, playing for FK Sutjeska Nikšić, where I broke into the first team in 2000 and amassed over 56 senior appearances. From there, I moved to Italy, joining US Lecce—initially on loan and then permanently—making my Serie A debut in December 2003 and going on to register 8 top-flight appearances, a significant learning phase in a highly competitive league.

After returning briefly to Sutjeska in 2005, I embarked on a new chapter in Hungary, first with FC Tatabánya, where I featured in 52 league matches. In 2007, I joined Debreceni VSC, becoming the first-choice goalkeeper and key contributor for several seasons. During my time at Debrecen, I played in the UEFA Champions League group stage, led the team to two Hungarian League titles, two Hungarian Cup wins, and two League Cups—a period defined by both personal and team success.

Throughout my career, every match taught me something—not just about football, but about discipline, mental strength, and consistency under pressure. These qualities are what I now pass on to the young players I train.

On the international stage, I had the honor of representing Montenegro 38 times between 2007 and 2016, after debuting in the nation’s very first competitive match in March 2007. Before that, I earned a debut cap for FR Yugoslavia back in 2002. Standing as the last line of defense for my country remains one of the proudest achievements of my career.

My Career as a Coach

When I decided to end my playing career, I knew I wanted to give back to the game. Coaching allowed me to shift from focusing on my own performance to developing the potential of others.

Between 2016 and 2018, I dedicated my time to traveling across Europe, visiting top clubs such as Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Sevilla, Red Star Belgrade, and Lecce. I observed training sessions, studied different methodologies, and took valuable lessons from each environment. From this experience I built my own training program, specifically tailored for both children and adults, combining the best practices I had seen with my personal philosophy.

From 2018 to 2023, I worked at the FC Barcelona Academy, applying modern methodologies and helping young goalkeepers and outfield players progress every day. In addition, our company partnered with the Real Madrid Foundation to organize youth camps across Hungary and the Balkans, giving children the opportunity to experience what it means to train with professional standards.

I have also collaborated with respected football schools such as Mészöly Focisuli, further strengthening my commitment to grassroots development. My coaching career is built on one belief: every child deserves the chance to learn in a professional, safe, and inspiring environment, and I dedicate myself fully to making that a reality.
